Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sits under the Terms of Service. If you break it we may suspend or close the account and, where we must, report the activity.
You may
- Use the tools to prepare teaching materials, mark work, and run classes you are authorised to teach.
- Share outputs with your students and colleagues as part of that work.
- Use a school-managed account if your school has arranged access.
You may not
- Use the service to generate or store child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Generate or spread malware, ransomware instructions, or attacks on other people’s systems.
- Attempt to break into the service, scrape it in bulk, or bypass plan limits or payment.
- Submit other people’s personal data (including student data) unless you have a lawful basis to do so.
- Use the tools to harass, dox, or defame someone, or to produce spam.
- Impersonate Best School Tools, a school, or another person.
- Resell access, share your password, or let an entire staff body share one personal login unless we have agreed a school plan.
- Use outputs as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions (exclusions, safeguarding referrals, exam awards) without a human review.
- Upload material you do not have the right to use.
Student work
Teachers must not paste full student files into tools where a school policy forbids sending that data to a subprocessors such as OpenAI. Prefer redacting names where the task does not need them.
